Poliwrath is a Water-type Pokémon with 90 HP, featuring a retreat cost of three Colorless Energy. It has two attacks: Water Gun, which requires two Water and one Colorless Energy to deal 30+ damage, and Whirlpool, needing two Water and two Colorless Energy to inflict 40 damage. The Water Gun attack adds 10 damage for each Water Energy attached to Poliwrath but not used to power the attack, with extra Water Energy beyond the second not contributing. Whirlpool forces the defending Pokémon to discard one Energy card if it has any attached. Poliwrath is weak to Grass-type attacks multiplied by two and is part of the Base set released in 1999.
