Flareon is a Fire-type Pokémon with 70 HP. It features two attacks: Quick Attack, which costs two Colorless Energy and deals 10 damage plus an additional 20 if a coin flip results in heads, and Flamethrower, requiring four Energy (two Fire and two Colorless) to deal 60 damage while discarding one Fire Energy card attached to it. The card’s retreat cost is one Colorless Energy, and it has no resistances. Its weakness is to Water, which deals double damage. The flavor text describes Flareon’s ability to store thermal energy, reaching temperatures exceeding 1600 degrees. It was first released in the Jungle set as card number 19, part of the Base series. The card is marked as Rare and was released on June 16, 1999. Artist Kagemaru Himeno designed the card, with a theme color of #d58b57.
