Pinsir is a Grass-type Pokémon with 60 HP and a retreat cost of one Colorless energy. It features two attacks: Irongrip, which costs two Grass energy to deal 20 damage and has a 50% chance to paralyze the defending Pokémon, and Guillotine, requiring four energy (two Grass and two Colorless) to deal 50 damage. The card’s flavor text describes a behavior where Pinsir tosses its victim if it cannot crush them in its pincers. It has no resistances and is weak to Fire, which deals double damage. The card was released in the Jungle set as part of the Base series on June 16, 1999. It is marked as Rare and numbered 25 in its series. The artwork was created by artist Kagemaru Himeno.
