Pinsir is a Grass-type Pokémon with 60 HP. It features two attacks: Irongrip, which costs two Grass Energy to deal 20 damage and has a 50% chance to paralyze the defending Pokémon, and Guillotine, requiring four Energy (two Grass and two Colorless) to deal 50 damage. The card’s retreat cost is one Colorless Energy. It has a Fire weakness, dealing double damage when attacked by Fire-type moves. The flavor text describes the Pokémon tossing its victim after failing to crush them in its pincers. Designed by artist Kagemaru Himeno, this card is part of the Jungle set from the Base series, released in June 1999. Its theme color is a muted green, matching its Grass typing.
