Lapras is a Water-type Pokémon with 80 HP and a retreat cost of two Colorless energy. It features two attacks: Water Gun, which costs one Water energy and deals 10 damage plus 10 additional damage for each Water Energy attached to Lapras but not used for the attack, up to a maximum of 20 extra damage, and Confuse Ray, which requires two Water energy to deal 10 damage and has a 50% chance to confuse the defending Pokémon. The card’s flavor text describes Lapras as a Pokémon nearly driven to extinction that can transport people across water. It has no resistances and is weak to Lightning attacks, which deal double damage. The card was released in the Fossil set in October 1999 and is part of the Base series. Its theme color is a muted blue-gray, matching its Water typing. Artist Ken Sugimori designed the card’s illustration.
