Kabutops is a Fighting-type Pokémon with 60 HP. It was designed by artist Ken Sugimori and features a retreat cost of 1 Colorless energy. The card includes two attacks: "Sharp Sickle," which requires two Fighting energy to deal 30 damage, and "Absorb," a more powerful attack costing four Fighting energy to deal 40 damage. The latter has a unique effect that removes damage counters from Kabutops based on half the damage dealt to the defending Pokémon, rounded up to the nearest 10. If the card has fewer counters than calculated, all remaining counters are removed. Kabutops is weak to Grass-type attacks, which deal double damage. Its flavor text describes its streamlined form ideal for aquatic movement and its predatory behavior of slicing through prey with claws to extract bodily fluids.
