Nidoking is a Grass-type Pokémon with 90 HP. It was first released in the Base Set 2 series on February 24, 2000. The card features artwork by Ken Sugimori and is classified as a Rare Holo. Nidoking has two attacks: "Thrash," which costs one Grass and two Colorless energy to deal 30 damage plus 10 additional damage on heads, or 30 damage with self-damage on tails, and "Toxic," which costs three Grass energy to deal 20 damage and poison the defending Pokémon, causing it to take 20 Poison damage each turn. The Pokémon has a retreat cost of three Colorless energy and no resistances. Its weakness is to Psychic-type attacks, which deal double damage.
