Dark Vileplume is a Grass-type Pokémon with 60 HP and a retreat cost of two Colorless energy. It features the ability Hay Fever, which prevents Trainer cards from being played and ceases to function while the Pokémon is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed. Its primary attack, Petal Whirlwind, requires three Grass energy to deal 30× damage, with additional effects based on coin flips: two or more heads result in Dark Vileplume becoming Confused after damage is applied. The card has no resistances and is weak to Fighting-type attacks with double damage. It was released in the Base set as part of the Team Rocket expansion on April 24, 2000, and is illustrated by Kagemaru Himeno.
