Dark Electrode is a Lightning-type Pokémon with 60 HP and a retreat cost of one Colorless energy. It features two attacks: Rolling Tackle, which costs one Colorless energy to deal 10 damage, and Energy Bomb, requiring two Lightning energy to deal 30 damage. The Energy Bomb attack allows the player to take all Energy cards attached to Dark Electrode and attach them to their Benched Pokémon, discarding the Energy cards if no Benched Pokémon are available. The card has no resistances and is weak to Fighting-type attacks, which deal double damage. It is part of the Base series, released in the Team Rocket set in 2000, and is classified as an Uncommon rarity. The card’s flavor text suggests researchers speculate Electrode might be a form of energy rather than a physical entity. Artist Ken Sugimori designed the card, which has a thematic color of beige.
