Electrode is a Lightning-type Pokémon with 90 HP. It has two attacks: Tackle, which costs two Colorless Energy and deals 20 damage, and Chain Lightning, which requires three Lightning Energy and also deals 20 damage. The Chain Lightning attack inflicts 10 damage to each Benched Pokémon of the same type as the defending Pokémon if the defending Pokémon isn’t Colorless. Electrode’s retreat cost is one Colorless Energy, and it has no resistances. Its primary weakness is to Fighting-type attacks, which deal double damage. The card was released in the Legendary Collection set in May 2002. Artist Mitsuhiro Arita designed the card, and its flavor text describes the Pokémon as storing electrical energy under high pressure, often exploding with little provocation. The card’s theme color is a golden-yellow hue.
