Magneton is a Pokémon card featuring the Lightning type with 80 HP. It requires two Colorless Energy to retreat and has a Fighting weakness that deals double damage. The card includes two attacks: Sonicboom, which costs one Lightning and one Colorless Energy to deal 20 damage while ignoring Weakness and Resistance for this strike, and Selfdestruct, a high-cost attack that uses four Lightning Energy to deal 100 damage to all Benched Pokémon and itself. The latter also bypasses Resistance for Benched targets, with Magneton inflicting damage to itself as part of the effect. The card's flavor text describes Magneton as a formation of linked Magnemites that often appear during sunspot activity.
