Mewtwo is a Psychic-type Pokémon with 70 HP. It requires two Colorless energy cards to retreat. The card features an attack called Energy Absorption, which costs one Psychic energy and allows the player to attach up to two Energy cards from their discard pile to Mewtwo. Another attack, Psyburn, costs two Psychic and one Colorless energy, dealing 40 damage. Mewtwo has no resistances but is weak to Psychic-type attacks with double damage. The card’s flavor text describes it as a violent Pokémon born from years of genetic experiments. It was released as a Promo card in the Base series on July 1, 1999. The artwork is credited to artist Benimaru Itoh.
