Smeargle is a Colorless-type Pokémon with 40 HP. It has a retreat cost of 1 Colorless energy and resists Psychic-type attacks by 30. The card features a single attack named "Paint" that costs 1 Colorless energy. When used, this attack flips a coin; if heads, the player selects a type other than Colorless and places a Coloring counter on the defending Pokémon, changing its type to the chosen one. If the defending Pokémon already has a Coloring counter, the old type is removed. If tails, the attack does nothing. The flavor text describes Smeargle as a Pokémon that, once mature, encourages its companions to leave footprints on its back.
