Scizor is a Metal-type Pokémon with 70 HP and a retreat cost of two Colorless energy. It features two attacks: Leer, which costs one Colorless energy and flips a coin to prevent the defending Pokémon from attacking during the opponent’s next turn, and Metal Pincer, requiring three energy to deal 30 damage plus 10 for each heads when flipping coins. The card has a resistance to Grass-type attacks, reducing damage by 30, and a weakness to Fire-type attacks, dealing double damage. It was released in the Base series as part of the Wizards Black Star Promos set in 1999. The card’s flavor text describes its wings as used for adjusting body temperature rather than flight.
