Tyranitar ex is a Darkness-type Pokémon from the EX series, released in the Unseen Forces set on August 1, 2005. It has 160 HP and requires two Colorless Energy to retreat. The card features resistance to Psychic attacks, reducing damage by 30, but is weak to Grass and Fighting, both dealing double damage. Its four attacks include Shatter, which costs a single Fighting Energy to deal 30 damage and discard a Stadium card in play. Derail uses two Colorless Energy for 30 damage, forcing the opponent to discard a Special Energy card attached to their defending Pokémon. Mix-Up demands three Energy—Fighting, Darkness, and Colorless—to deal 70 damage and make the opponent discard their deck’s top card. The most powerful attack, Losing Control, requires four Energy to deal 120 damage and discard the top three cards of the player’s deck. Additionally, the card’s rules state that if Tyranitar ex is knocked out, the opponent takes two Prize cards. It is a Rare Holo EX card with number 111 and is associated with Pokémon number 248 in the Pokédex.
