Beedrill is a Grass-type Pokémon with 80 HP. It features two attacks: Triple Poison, which costs one Grass energy and deals 10 damage, and Pin Missile, requiring three energy to deal 20× damage based on coin flips. The Triple Poison attack flips a coin, applying poison to the defending Pokémon and increasing damage counters by three after each turn. Pin Missile’s damage scales with the number of heads from four coins flipped. Beedrill has a resistance to Fighting-type attacks, reducing damage by 30, and a weakness to Fire-type attacks, doubling damage. The card’s flavor text highlights its ability to overwhelm opponents with poison stingers and swarm attacks. It was first released in the Neo Discovery set in June 2001. The card’s design is attributed to artist Aya Kusube.
