Politoed is a Water-type Pokémon with 100 HP, featured in the Neo Discovery set released in 2001. It has a retreat cost of three Colorless Energy and can deal damage through its Doubleslap attack, which requires two Water and two Colorless Energy to use. The attack flips two coins, dealing 40 damage multiplied by the number of heads, up to a maximum of 80 damage. Politoed’s ability, Frog Song, enhances its attacks by adding 40 extra damage if there are more than three Poliwags, Poliwhirls, Poliwraths, or Politoeds in play. This ability is disabled if Politoed is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed. The card carries a Grass-type weakness that multiplies damage by two. Designed by artist Tomokazu Komiya, Politoed’s flavor text describes its tendency to sing loudly when multiple individuals gather. This Rare card holds dex number 186 and is part of the Neo series.
