Its primary attack, Doubleslap, requires two Water and two Colorless energy to deal 40× damage, flipping two coins to determine the multiplier based on heads. The card includes a Pokémon Power ability called Frog Song, which boosts attack damage by 40 if more than three Poliwags, Poliwhirls, Poliwraths, or Politoeds are in play. This effect is conditional on the presence of those specific Pokémon and ceases if Politoed is asleep, confused, or paralyzed. Politoed’s weakness to Grass-type attacks is doubled, making it vulnerable to such moves. The card’s flavor text describes a collective behavior where groups of Politoed produce a resonant, bellowing song.
