Omastar is a Water-type Pokémon with 120 HP. It features two attacks: "Time Spiral" and "Primal Tentacles." The "Time Spiral" attack costs two Colorless Energy and allows the player to choose an opponent's Evolved Pokémon, removing the highest Stage Evolution card from that Pokémon and shuffling it into the opponent's deck. The "Primal Tentacles" attack requires one Water and one Colorless Energy, dealing 30 damage plus 10 additional damage for each Helix Fossil, Dome Fossil, and Old Amber in the player's discard pile. Omastar has a retreat cost of one Colorless Energy and is weak to Grass-type attacks, which deal 30 more damage. The card's flavor text references a legend about the Pokémon's extinction due to its oversized spiral shell. It was released in the Platinum series as part of the Arceus set on November 4, 2009. The card is classified as Rare and has the number 23 in its series. Artist Hajime Kusajima designed the illustration for this card.
