It has a retreat cost of one Colorless Energy and features a Poké-Body ability called Star Barrier, which eliminates its Weakness to Water attacks as long as it has any Energy attached. The card’s attack, Blue Fire, costs two Fire Energy to deal 50 damage and forces the player to discard all Fire Energy attached to Ponyta. Ponyta’s resistance profile includes no listed resistances, though it is weak to Water-type attacks. The card’s flavor text describes Ponyta’s growth from a fragile newborn to a stronger, faster form through repeated galloping.
