This attack deals 40 damage plus an additional 40 if a coin flip lands heads, or inflicts Paralysis on the opponent’s Active Pokémon if tails. The Pokémon has a Grass-type weakness that multiplies damage by two. Its flavor text describes a natural behavior where the Pokémon’s tentacles decrease in number over time.
